With the spring high school sports season complete, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in boys golf, boys tennis, boys and girls track & field, boys and girls lacrosse, girls soccer, softball and baseball

The Coastal Preps C0-Girls Soccer Players of the Year are seniors Blair Barefoot and Erin Willis of Hoggard.

Blair’s Accomplishments

The two-sport start ended her illustrious high school career in impressive fashion by allowing only four goals in 1,255 minutes.

When she wasn’t in goal, Barefoot made her presence known in the field by scoring four goals and dishing out an assist in limited action.

Barefoot, who will play basketball and soccer at Lenoir-Rhyne next year, stopped 55 of 59 shots she faced and helped the Vikings finish with a remarkable 20 shutout victories.

Hoggard went 24-3 this season and 14-0 in the Mideastern Conference. During her four years, she helped the team accumulate an overall record of 80-9-11 and a league mark of 48-0-4.

Erin’s Accomplishments

Willis led the Vikings to another fantastic season by scoring a team-best 33 goals to go along with 23 assists.

She finished with a hat trick five times and had her best performance with three goals and three assists in an 8-0 victory at South Brunswick on March 14.

With Willis leading the way, Hoggard outscored its opponents 128-9, won the Mideastern Conference title and reached the 4A East final for the third time in five years.
