2019 Girls Track Athlete of the Year: Keyana Yeoman
With the spring high school sports season complete, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in boys golf, boys tennis, boys and girls track & field, boys and girls lacrosse, girls soccer, softball and baseball
The Coastal Preps Girls Track Athlete of the Year is senior Keyana Yeoman of North Brunswick.
Yeoman capped her illustrious high school career by earning four top-six finishes at the 3A State Championship.
She was second in both the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, while also running the anchor leg on the fifth-place 4×200 relay and the sixth-place 4×100 relay.
Yeoman, who will continue her career at Voorhees College (S.C.), set the school record in the 100 hurdles (14.35) at the Mideastern Conference Championship and broke her own record in the 300 hurdles (43.91) at the 3A State Championship.
At the MEC Championship, Yeoman won four events (100 and 300 hurdles, 4×100 and 4×200 relay) and finished with 25 points. A week later at the 3A East Regional, she won three events (100 and 300 hurdles and 4×200 relay) and was on the second-place 4×100 relay.
