Moises Gonzalez and Ruben Meza each scored once and handed out a pair of assists as the Titans rolled to their sixth straight win.

Armando Romero found the back of the net twice, while Jan Sanchez Ramirez, John Roberts and Abelardo Santiago each finished with one goal.

Joshua Nance had an assist for Trask (8-3-1, 5-0 Waccamaw). Goalkeeper Diego Rivera made a pair of saves to earn the clean sheet.

The Titans play at South Columbus on Monday night at 5.

Coastal Christian 9, Harrells Christian Academy 0

A hat trick from Josiah Davis as well as two goals and two assists from Owen Desmond led the Centurions to a bounce-back victory.

The other Coastal Christian (10-9-1, 3-2 Coastal Rivers) goals were scored by Kyle Desmond, Drew Wertheimer, Andrew Kramer and Nathan Richmond.

Wertheimer, Sammy Dominguez, Arturo Marin, Cameron Sumners, Aaron Grassi and Jay Forrester each dished out an assist.

The Centurions will be back at home for a third straight day to celebrate senior day against Fayetteville Academy at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hoggard 6, North Brunswick 3

After falling behind 3-0, juniors Elena Berg and Margaret O’Malley rallied for a match-clinching 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Hoggard (13-3, 12-2 Mideastern) swept all three doubles courts. Emily Cox and Helen Bennington didn’t lose a game at No. 2, while Lucy Boswell and Kris Foster won the final four games for an 8-3 victory.

Boswell earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles. Foster (No. 4) and Mia Mormando (No. 6) picked up identical 6-0, 6-0 wins.

North Brunswick (3-11, 3-10) got victories from Sabrina Achki (6-2, 4-6, 11-9 at No. 1), Simone Samuel (6-1, 6-4 at No. 2) and Cameron Phillips (7-5, 6-4 at No. 5).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Trask 21, Pender 42, Wilmington Christian Academy 72

From Tuesday

Senior Samuel Scott completed the course in 20:07 to earn an eight-second victory and lead the Titans to a team win.

Trask had six of the top-10 finishers. Kyle Moore was third with a time of 20:16, while Edgar Ramirez Luna was right behind in 20:17.

Christian David Botello (sixth in 20:46), Kevin Lopez Santiago (seventh in 20:52) and Abelardo Santiago (10th in 21:15) also had terrific performances.

Pender’s Samuel Wheeler was the runner-up in 20:15, while teammates William Berry (eighth in 21:00) and Bryan Meza (ninth in 21:13) also had top-10 performances.

Hayden Naylor was Wilmington Christian Academy’s top finisher. He crossed the finish line fifth with a season-best time of 20:39.

Trask 25 Wilmington Christian Academy 34, Pender no score

From Tuesday

Seventh grader Sophia Bush of Wilmington Christian Academy cruised to a victory of more than a minute after crossing the finish line in 22:45.

Trask’s Ainsley Heath was the runner-up in 23:54. The Titans also got top-10 finishes from Emily Mata Quistian (fifth in 27:10), Jayden Hoffman (sixth in 27:11), Esmeralda Paz (seventh in 27:12) and Toni Bojorques-Hicks (10th in 28:54).

In addition to Bush, the Patriots’ other top-10 performances came from Avery Morrison (third in 24:53) and Anna Whitehead (ninth in 28:32).

Freshman Mallory Psioda was Pender’s top finisher. She was fourth with a time of 26:53, while teammate Lillie Hansen placed eighth in 27:31.

VOLLEYBALL

Whiteville 3, Trask 1

(25-9, 25-20, 19-25, 25-18)

The Titans managed to win the third set against a talented Whiteville team that improved to 16-1 overall and 6-1 in the Waccamaw Conference.

With the loss, Trask fell to 5-8 overall and 4-4 in league play. The teams meet again Thursday night at 6 p.m. at Trask.
