The Hurricanes struck early by scoring twice in the opening three minutes before tacking on four more goals to earn the road victory over the defending NCISAA 1A state champions.

Tommy Morton opened the scoring in the second minute off an assist from Campbell McFarlane. Morton blasted a low rocket just inside the far post.

A minute later, Tate Sheally found the back of the net on a free kick from distance. Sheally made a great run in the 18th minute, received a pass from Cameron Arne and easily scored to give CFA (4-0) a 3-0 halftime advantage.

Sheally completed his hat trick in the 80th minute on a penalty kick. McFarlane (44th minute off an assist from Adam Politi) and Henry Steven (56th of an assist from McFarlane) had the other two goals.

The Hurricanes open Coastal Rivers Conference play at Fayetteville Academy on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
