2022 Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year: Ty Little

Now that the fall sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the past week, you’ve gotten to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in girls golf, girls tennis, boys and girls cross country, volleyball, boys soccer and football.

The Coastal Preps Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year is senior Ty Little from Laney.

Ty’s Accomplishments

Ty Little cemented his place as one of the greatest quarterbacks in Laney history with another phenomenal season.

The three-year starter completed 63 percent (156 of 246) percent of his passes for an area-best 2,114 yards and 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions. He also scored five rushing TDs.

Little surpassed the 200-yard mark in six of 11 games. He had a season-high 324 yards in a 45-0 victory over South Brunswick. The senior tossed four touchdowns passes against East Bladen and Topsail.

In the final game of his high school career, Little threw a pair of touchdown passes to become the program’s all-time leader with 58. He surpassed Mike Sheehan, who threw 56 during his career from 2009-11.
