With the fall high school sports season coming to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in girls tennis, girls golf, boys cross country, girls cross country, boys soccer and volleyball. Football will be published shortly after the conclusion of the season.
The Coastal Preps Girls Golfer of the Year is senior Caroline Crumrine from Cape Fear Academy.
Caroline’s Accomplishments
Cape Fear Academy senior Caroline Crumrine earned the honor for a season straight season by finishing with a nine-hole stroke average of 37.9 and winning medalist honors in five of the six matches the Hurricanes played in.
The Furman signee finished fourth at the NCISAA Divison II State Championship by finishing with a two-day total of 156 (77-79). Her accomplishments resulted in a fourth straight All-State team selection.
During the regular season, Crumrine had two sub-par rounds and a nine-hole low score of 34.
