With several high school sports seasons coming to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in cross country, swimming & diving and volleyball.

The Coastal Preps Boys Co-Swimmer of the Year is senior Logan Butner from Ashley.

Logan’s Accomplishments

Behind the stellar swimming of Logan Butner, the Ashley boys scored 14 points and earned a 15th-place finish at the 4A State Championship.

Butner finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke in a season-best time of 57.08. He was also on the 200 medley (seventh in 1:36.45) and 200 freestyle (1:28.45) relays.

The Gardner-Webb signee was the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle relay at the 4A East Regional. The 200 medley relay claimed the title and the 400 freestyle relay was fifth.

Butner also had a terrific performance at his final Mideastern Conference Championship, winning the 100 breaststroke, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. He was also the runner-up in the 200 IM.

Butner had the three fastest 100 breaststroke times in the area. He also had the fastest 500 freestyle swim of the season and was the second fastest in the 200 IM. All three relays he was on also had the fastest times.
