About
After spending 16 years working as a print journalist, I decided to take my talents solely to the web by founding Coastal Preps. Founded in May 2018, CoastalPreps.com is the premier source of high school sports news and photos in Southeastern N.C.
Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to North Carolina with my family when I was 10 years old. I began working part time at the StarNews when I was 16 and remained with the newspaper until venturing out on my own.
When I’m not at a sporting event, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing tennis, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, attending Lifepoint Church and volunteering at Alderman Elementary School. I’m also a proud coach of the Miracle League Diamondbacks!
