Local College Athlete Q&As: May 22, 2020
During this time of uncertainty, one thing I am certain about is that we have a terrific group of college athletes from this area.
Over the next few weeks, I’m going to spotlight as many of them as I can through online Q&A’s. Any college athlete who graduated from a high school in Brunswick, New Hanover or Pender counties that is interested in participating should email me at tim@coastalpreps.com.

What is your favorite memory from your high school or college career? The whole lacrosse season my junior year at Laney.

How are you passing the time during this time of social distancing? Going to the field a lot and playing a bunch of video games.

What is your favorite memory from your high school or college career? My favorite memory from high school was winning the 2A state championship. My favorite memory from college so far was when I got my first start and shutout against UMBC this past season.

How are you passing the time during this time of social distancing? I’ve been doing daily workouts our coaches send, training with my dad, doing lots of homework and studying and rewatching One Tree Hill.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? “Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly.” This quote has been really helpful during this quarantine, because it means doing something to work towards your goals, even if it’s not done with your best effort, is better than doing nothing.
