2021 Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year: Ty Little

The Coastal Preps Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year is junior quarterback Ty Little from Laney.

Ty’s Accomplishments

With quarterback Ty Little leading the way, the Laney football team made huge strides this season.

The Buccaneers surpassed their win total from the previous three seasons (eight) by going 9-3 and reaching the second round of the 4A playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The nine victories tied for the third most in school history and were the most since 2001 when Laney went 15-1 and reached the state championship game.

Little completed 62 percent of his passes (152 of 245) for 2,477 yards and 27 touchdowns. He only threw two interceptions the entire season.

He is also a capable runner as evident by his 68 carries which resulted in 348 yards and a pair of scores.

Little surpassed the 300-yard mark four times, including a career-high 340 against West Brunswick on Oct. 1. He threw six touchdown passes in a dominant 56-6 victory over Topsail four weeks later.
