Spring 2021 Football Offensive Player of the Year: Monzelle Campbell
The Coastal Preps Football Offensive Player of the Year is senior Monzelle Campbell from West Brunswick.
Monzelle’s Accomplishments
In his first season with the Trojans, Monzelle Campbell earned the starting quarterback job early in the season and quickly became one of the most feared players in the Mideastern Conference.
Campbell’s final stats would have been impressive in a regular season, but they were even more remarkable considering the Trojans only played eight games.
He completed 65 percent of his passes (72 of 111) for 887 yards and nine touchdowns. Campbell also ran for 1,065 yards and 15 scores on 142 carries to help West Brunswick finish 6-2 and reach the quarterfinals of the playoffs for the first time since 2003.
Campbell made his first start in a 29-6 home win over Laney in the second week and finished with 264 yards of total offense (131 passing and 133 rushing) and four touchdowns.
His most impressive game came in a 45-21 victory at Topsail. In that contest, Campbell went 11 of 15 for 160 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 23 times for 274 yards and five scores.

Do you like breakfast, lunch or dinner best?: Dinner is always the best!
What is a skill you are bad at that you wish you could master?: Video games. All my friends beat me in every game.
