Local Athlete/Coaches Q&As: April 12, 2020
During this time of uncertainty, one thing I am certain about is that we have terrific student athletes and coaches in this area.

What is your favorite memory from your career? Beating Ashley 4-1 after a competitive year battling them.
Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals? I always roll up my sleeves during warm-ups and by game time I feel ready to play.
What hobbies do you have outside of participating in sports? Outside of soccer, I love working out and lifting weights.

What is your dream job? Child psychologist

What sport(s) do you participate in at your school? Volleyball
If you have committed or signed with a college, where will you be continuing your career and why did you choose that school? I will be continuing my volleyball career at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I chose this school because I can play close to home and study a career in nursing, which has been my goal, since I was a kid.
What is your favorite food? Chocolate chip cookies

What is your favorite TV show? Grey’s Anatomy and All American
Who are your favorite teams (college or professional)? Clemson football

What is your favorite memory from your career? In our very first conference game against our biggest competition in the conference we weren’t really expected to win, but everyone on the team was on and we just all worked together and gave it our all and won. This moment really shined a light on the importance of teamwork and a constant high energy throughout the entire match.
Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals? Pray for God to take control and that all the glory goes to him.
What hobbies do you have outside of participating in sports? Exercising, going to the beach and youth group

What is a skill you are bad at that you wish you could master? Carpentry. I could pass as a rough carpenter barely. Finish carpentry, those people are artists!
What was the first car you owned? 1972 VW Beetle and it’s still at my dad’s house!
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Don’t be afraid to fail. It’s the only way to truly improve and get better!
