Longtime Trask Middle School softball coach Bradley Rhodes retires

After spending 16 years at the softball coach at Trask Middle School, Bradley Rhodes has decided to retire.

Rhodes, who will continue to coach at Laney, finished with a remarkable 189-27 record and 13 New Hanover County championships.

The Bears are currently on a 45-game winning streak that dates back to 2018. Rhodes received the Legacy Award at Trask’s athletic banquet on June 7.

Rhodes has a 92-43 record in seven seasons at Laney. The Buccaneers finished the 2023 season 17-6 overall and 10-2 in the Mideastern Conference to claim a share of the title.
