Now that the spring sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in boys tennis, boys and girls track & field, boys and girls lacrosse, boys golf, girls soccer, softball and baseball.

For the second year in a row, the Coastal Preps Boys Golfer of the Year is senior Ryan Jahr from West Brunswick.

Ryan’s Accomplishments

Ryan Jahr’s senior season got off to a great start when he shot a 1-under-par 71 to claim medalist honors at Lockwood Folly on Feb. 28.

The West Brunswick senior continued his stellar play by winning two other Mideastern Conference matches and finishing as the runner-up four times.

He shot a season-best 65 at Landfall on April 5. The round included eight birdies and an eagle. 

Jahr’s season stroke average was an area-best 73. He tied for medalist honors at the 3A East Regional with an even-par 72.

A week later, Jahr competed at the 3A State Championship for the first time and shot 78-79 at Pinehurst No. 6 to finish in a tie for 19th.
