With the fall high school sports season coming to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in girls tennis, girls golf, boys cross country, girls cross country, boys soccer and volleyball. Football will be published shortly after the conclusion of the season.
The Coastal Preps Boys Soccer Defensive Player of the Year is senior Brian Cooke from Coastal Christian.
Brian’s Accomplishments
Coastal Christian finished 19-2-2 and claimed its first ever boys soccer stats championship thanks in large part to senior captain Brian Cooke.
Cooke was the anchor of a defense that allowed only 23 goals and shut out 11 opponents, including Carmel Christian in the NCISAA 3A State Championship match.
Along with playing stellar defense, Cooke added eight goals and five assists.
