Now that the spring sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the next week, you will get to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in boys tennis, boys and girls track & field, boys and girls lacrosse, boys golf, girls soccer, softball and baseball.

The Coastal Preps Softball Co-Position Player of the Year is junior Zoey Vincent from Topsail.

Zoey’s Accomplishments

The Topsail softball team averaged more than seven runs per game en route to a 17-5 overall record and an 11-1 mark in the Mideastern Conference that gave them the league title for the second time in four years.

Leadoff batter and second baseman Zoey Vincent was the catalyst. She led the MEC with a .556 batting average to go along with four doubles, one triple, 19 stolen bases, 10 RBIs, 26 runs scored.

Vincent only struck out four times in 87 plate appearances. She had an on-base percentage of .586. 

The Mount Olive commit began and ended the season with a string of six consecutive multi-hit games. She finished with an incredible 16, including seven games with three hits or more.

In the field, Vincent had a .909 fielding percentage.
