Now that the fall sports season has come to a close, it’s time to reveal the All-Coastal Preps teams. Over the past week, you’ve gotten to know more about the players of the year while also seeing who made first and second team in girls golf, girls tennis, boys and girls cross country, volleyball, boys soccer and football.

The Coastal Preps Football Co-Offensive Player of the Year is junior Eric Mosley from North Brunswick.

Eric’s Accomplishments

Thanks in large part to the dynamic running ability of Eric Mosley, North Brunswick had its most successful football season in more than two decades.

Mosley led the area with 1,479 rushing yards on 201 carries. He found the end zone 12 times, including a four-touchdown performance in a 48-12 win over South Columbus.

The junior opened the season with a season-high 217 yards against Whiteville. He surpassed the 100-yard mark on eight occasions, including excellent performances against the area’s top two defenses – Hoggard (115 yards) and New Hanover (122 yards).

North Brunswick finished 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the Mideastern Conference. The Scorpions reached the third round of the playoffs  for the first time since 2001. 

The 11 victories tied for the second most in program history, tying the 1997 team that went 11-1. North Brunswick went 12-1 in 2000.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?: Europe, so I could watch some soccer games.

What is one hidden talent you have that most people don’t know about?: I’m very talented at soccer.
